Welcome to Wick + Fiber! My name is Caroline. I'm a wife to the most amazing guy in the world. I also am a mother to 7 children (4 boys and 3 girls ages 9-22) ... my husband and kids are my life! I love to create wall hangings, banners, coasters, and candles for your home. The pieces I make are each unique and created with love. Each piece is my "favorite". If there is a piece that just doesn't get my approval, it either gets displayed in my home somewhere, or I give it away. I believe in selling my best work to my customers.
I have two boys with type 1 diabetes. The medical expenses are increasing each year. I wanted to continue to stay home with my kids, but help out with the expenses that come along with diabetes supplies, so the idea of selling my creations was born. I have loved seeing my products in others' homes. Each piece that gets shipped out gets shipped with the hope that the customer will love it as much as I do. I also hope that my customers share how they style it in their home. I have been simply amazed at the creative styling my customers have done.
My candles are all hand poured and also made with love. I have always loved the warm aura a candle brings into the home. I can be considered a "sucker for candles". I have tried so many candles in my life and decided that if I want to have a quality candle, I would try making my own. That's where my idea to sell them came into play. Originally, I was making them for my family and friends, but then expanded to my Etsy shop.
My company name came to me at about 2:00 am. I had insomnia because of my excitement about selling my products. I knew I wanted to sell candles and wall hangings but also didn't want to be limited to these items since I love creating. Candles and wall hangings = the name came to me "Wick + Fiber".
